How to Buy a Firearm Online & FFL Transfers

Buying a firearm online is straightforward when the transfer process is clear. Iron Desert Armory ships firearms to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer for the required transfer. Firearms do not ship directly to a customer's home.

How the process works

1. Choose your firearm

Shop our firearm collections and add the firearm you want to your cart. Product availability is based on current supplier inventory and can change quickly.

2. Choose a receiving FFL dealer

During checkout, you will be prompted to choose a licensed FFL dealer near you. That dealer becomes the shipping destination for the firearm. If you already have a preferred dealer, choose them from the available results when possible.

3. We process and ship the firearm to the dealer

After the order is accepted and the receiving dealer information is confirmed, the firearm is shipped to that licensed dealer. You will receive normal order and shipment updates as the order moves through processing.

4. Complete the transfer with your dealer

When the firearm arrives, the receiving dealer will complete the required transfer process with you, including any required identification, forms, background-check steps, waiting periods, transfer fees, or other requirements that apply to the transaction.

Before you order

  • You must be legally eligible to purchase and possess the firearm.
  • Federal, state, and local restrictions may affect whether a specific firearm, magazine, or configuration can be transferred to you.
  • The receiving FFL may charge a transfer fee. That fee is separate from your Iron Desert Armory order unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Contact your receiving dealer before ordering if you are unsure whether they will accept the transfer or whether the product is lawful for you to receive.

What if my dealer is not listed?

If you cannot find your preferred dealer during checkout, contact Iron Desert Armory before completing the purchase so we can help determine the appropriate next step.
